My name is William David and I have lived in Asheville, NC my whole life. I currently attend the boarding school Christ School as a day student on a merit scholarship. I have greatly challenged myself academically throughout my high school career, receiving all A’s in 13 AP and post AP courses going into my senior year. I am currently taking 4 more AP courses as well as 2 post AP courses. In my life I have benefited greatly from great mentors (teachers, scouting adults, conversation professionals, and engineers), and it is because of this that I spend most of my free time giving back to my community whether that be through providing opportunities or mentoring others. Additionally, I am a second-generation American, and both of my parents were first-generation college students. I love math, art, as well as constructing things and I greatly look forward to studying engineering in college. In my free time I enjoy listening to vinyl records, making videos and music, playing soccer, and reading books.
